View English Language Arts/Reading Textbooks Up For Adoption

GISD will be adopting new English Language Arts/ Reading textbooks for Grades K-12. We invite parents and community members to view the textbooks that are available for adoption. There will be a public viewing for parents and a presentation by each of the publishers regarding each textbook at the Community Forum, February 16, 2010, in the GHS Annex Cafeteria from 6 -8 PM.

Parents who would like to view textbooks before the public viewing or during the month of February may do so at several locations. Please see this flyer for location details.

Your input is appreciated. The deadline to submit is February 17th. Input forms will be made available where textbooks are viewed.

In November 2005, voters in our community overwhelmingly supported a bond election for new facilities, renovations and additions, and critical improvements to existing GISD facilities.

In the report below, you will find information about these projects as well as photographs and other interesting facts.

Thank you to the many people who made these projects a reality and also to everyone who has supported and continues to support our children and our school district.
