Dear Parents, On Friday, March 9 th , Benold Middle School will celebrate Literacy with a school-wide Literacy Walk. This will be a fun day outside on the track where students will walk to raise money for library books and Language Arts book sets, as well as purchase refreshments from the concession stand. Please help support our efforts. Students are asked to seek pledges from family members and friends for every lap they walk during their Language Arts class on the Benold track that day. The pledges are to be recorded on the pledge sheet. Each lap is ¼ of a mile, and students will have approximately 35 minutes to walk. Flat donations are also appreciated, and even the smallest amount will help out. Pledge sheets and money is due to the student’s language arts teacher by Wednesday, March 21 st . Students should dress comfortably in good walking shoes and may wear hats if needed. Students should also bring water bottles as the weather is always unpredictable in March! We are looking for parent volunteers to help in a variety of ways on that day, including providing baked goods to sell at the concession stand. Thank you for your support! If there are any students interested in becoming a Georgette or Sapphire, they must attend the meeting on March 20 @ 5:30 PM in the GHS Dance Studio.
If your child could use a little extra time to take care of their school business, we'd like to give them an everyday option for support. Beginning Monday, the Principals' Study Hall is open for business! Dr. Jayroe, Ms. Smith and Mr. Schulz are ready to welcome and support our Eagles. Students can stop by anytime to check their grades, complete any work or just have a quiet place to prepare for a successful day. No reservations are necessary and walk-ins are welcome!
