  • Dual Language Parent Information Night

    2018-2019 Incoming Kinder Student Parents are invited to the Dual Language Information Nights on April 18 at 6 pm, April 24th at 6 pm and April 26 at 5:30 pm at the Administration Annex Building, Room 15, 1313 Williams Drive. Join the discussion of our Dual Language program, Gomez & Gomez framework, program 50/50 model (English & Spanish), program expectations and applicant selection process. We look forward to seeing you on one of these nights.

  • 4th Grade Field Trip - Bob Bullock Museum

    Mitchell's 4th graders will explore the Story of Texas, on Tuesday, April 24th. They will enjoy three floors of exhibitions, artifacts, films, activities, programs and much more. They will discover history, science and culture through film in the Museum's two theaters featuring 4D effects and upgraded digital technology that brings historical events to the largest screen in Texas!

  • YMCA's After School Program

    The Y After school provides a safe, nurturing environment for all children (K-5th grade) by promoting healthy character development of spirit, mind and body. Besides a nutritious snack, children will have homework as well as tutoring time, engage in arts & crafts, play organized games and much more during their afternoons with us.   • Friendly Parent Reminder

    Here are just a few friendly reminders to get our new year started: First bell rings at 7:50 am, Tardy bell rings at 7:55. Our release time at the end of day is at 3:10. Transportation changes are recommended to be called in by 2 pm to our Mitchell Office (512-943-1829). A note to the child's teacher is also acceptable and much appreciated. This ensures all students return home safely as planned by parents.

  • Mitchell Lunch Schedule

    The Mitchell Lunch Schedule is as follows: Pre-K at 10:30; Kinder at 10:40; 1st-11:30; 2nd -11:05; 3rd-11:55; 4th-12:50 and 5th at 12:20. You can now access your school lunch menu! The district's food service provider, SFE, posts daily lunch menus. You can review the online at georgetownisd.nutrislice.org

  • 2018-2019 GISD Student Enrollment Events

    Mark your calendars for enrollment events for the 2018-2019 school year including new high school students and pre-k and kindergarten. April 25th for High School New Student Enrollment@ EVHS/GHS - 5 to 7 PM, and May 9 for PK/KG New Student Enrollment @ Mitchell 4 - 6:30 PM Please note that parents/authorized adults must first electronically register their child at www.georgetownisd.org/enrollment (when site becomes available). This process may be done from any computer. Parents/authorized adults are also required to go to the appropriate campus at specified date and time in order to complete the registration process. PreK Qualifying Criteria: Meet income requirements or receive TANF or SNAP; Speak a language other than English as their primary language; have a parent who is eligible for the Star of Texas Award; Have a parent who is currently active duty military or a parent who was injured or killed in active duty; Homeless or; Have been served in foster care Documents to bring: Certified original student birth certificate; Parent/guardian photo ID; Current immunizations records; Current proof of residency in the district (electric, gas, water bill); Student's Social Security Card and Proof of PreK qualifying criteria.
