Volunteering in Georgetown ISD
In order to ensure the safety of our students, Georgetown
Independent School District requires all volunteers to pass a criminal
history background check. GISD is authorized by state law to obtain criminal history
record information on individuals who intend to serve as volunteers for the
district (Texas Education Code 22.083).
We appreciate your interest in volunteering for Georgetown ISD! For the 2011-2012 school year, there are different processes for regular volunteers and for mentors/tutors with the district. Both groups must pass a criminal history background check in order to ensure the safety of our students, however, mentors & tutors will be using our new FastTrack application system to complete this process.
Volunteers
If you will be volunteering this year at a GISD campus, but are not a mentor or tutor, please use the online volunteer criminal history check form.
