Curriculum :: Fine Arts
The
Fine Arts Department of Georgetown Independent School District includes the
areas of music, art, theater arts, and dance. Also included under the
fine arts umbrella are speech, debate, oral interpretation, journalism, dance,
and cheerleading.
At the elementary level, art and music education are offered
at all campuses, allowing students to develop an understanding of the cultural
and creative nature of music and art.
At the secondary level, fine arts classes center on both curricular
and extra-curricular activities. Students participate in a variety of
activities through UIL and many other organizations.
