Assignments:

        Daily journal writing

        Weekly Spelling lesson

        Daily grammar lesson/practice

        Daily active reading (short stories, novel, newspapers, library books, novels, etc.)        

        A minimum of one major writing assignment per  nine weeks

    For specific due dates for homework, tests, projects, etc., check your child's language arts calendar in his/her binder
