Extended Care Programs :: Extended School Enrichment (ESE)
Extended
School Enrichment (ESE) Centers provide access to a safe, economically
feasible before/after school and summer care that will support
and enrich the lives of the participating students and their families.
ESE conducts centers at each GISD elementary campus for children
in Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade.
Children have opportunities to participate in activities, which benefit them emotionally, socially, physically, and academically. The enrichments include homework assistance, computers, tutoring, crafts, sports and games, art, science, music, gardening, nutrition and many additional educational, creative and cultural activities. A trained staff plans and conducts the program to meet the needs of the children and provides positive adult role models.
Each Center is licensed by the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services (DPRS) and is a “Texas Rising Star” through Child Care Management Services (CCMS), a division of the Texas Workforce Commission. Extended School Enrichment is designed with today’s working families in mind, and was developed by the Georgetown Independent School District and Partners in Education. ESE is totally funded by monthly student tuitions so a constant search for grants and support to expand and maintain our quality program occurs on a regular basis.
ESE continues to evolve with the demands of our growing and ever-changing community.
