Experience
The 2009-2010 school year will be Mrs. Barker's first year as principal of Village Elementary. Since joining Georgetown ISD in 2003, Mrs. Barker has served as assistant principal at Carver, Pickett, Ford, and Mitchell Elementary schools. She assisted with the opening of both the Ford and Mitchell campuses.

Prior to joining GISD, Mrs. Barker held positions as a pre-school teacher at Hyde Park Baptist C.D.C. in Austin, Texas, a second grade teacher at Timmerman Elementary in Pflugerville ISD, and a fifth grade teacher at Oaks and Oak Forest Elementaries in Humble ISD.
Bio and Interests
Mrs. Barker and her husband Randy are both from small towns in Central Texas. Her daughter Jennifer and husband Mark live in Abilene, while her son Ryan and wife Abbie live in Austin. Mrs. Barker enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Her hobbies include yard work, reading, and photography.
