If your student is interested in becoming a member of the Benold Cheer Squad for the 2017-2018, a parent/guardian and the candidate must attend one of the two meetings: Monday, February 27th in the Library at BMS at 5:30pm or Thursday, March 2nd in the BMS Library at 6:00pm. At that time you will need to bring in your completed application and Acceptance of the Constitution signature page. If selected to be a cheerleader, there are specific responsibilities and obligations which your student must assume in order to qualify and remain an active member of the team. Team expectations, expenses, the Constitution, events etc. will be discussed at the meeting. Mandatory Cheer Clinic Practices for tryouts will be March 6th – 9th, from 4:30pm to 5:45pm in the BMS Large Gym. Tryouts will be on Friday, March 10th, starting at 4:30 pm. Before you attend clinics you must have a physical packet on file with the BMS trainer. This goes for both 6th and 7th grade students. Students must report directly to the GHS Annex Gym for the tryouts. Tryouts and clinics are closed to the public. For any questions, please contact Angela Miceli via email Micelia@georgetownisd.org

If you are new to the area and/or have a 7th grade student, please make sure that you have shot records that are up to date for your student. Students without up to date shot records or properly documented exemption waivers will NOT be able to attend classes until they are in compliance. Thank you.
Parents we ask that you please not use the bus lane that runs between Frost and Benold. This includes dropping your students off at Frost in the am. When they walk thru the bus lane to get to Benold they are endangering themselves and the bus drivers as well as delaying the bus take off for the next route. This lane access is specifically designated for bus use. We appreciate your assistance in protecting the safety of students on both campuses by refraining use of the access lane before, during and after school hours.
