I would like to take this opportunity to THANK all the students, staff, and parents for the past 14 years serving as Principal of Benold Middle School. I have always stressed to my staff throughout my administrative career that you need to take care of your family first, and now it is time for me to follow my own advice, as I need to take care of my elderly parents. I earlier announced my retirement after almost 40 years in the field of education effective January 31st. Benold will always be a special place to me and my family, and I thoroughly have enjoyed my time on campus working alongside some of the greatest staff, students and parents with whom I have ever been associated. This has been a tough decision that I have deliberated over for quite a while, but it is the best decision at the right time for everyone. We have a great school with established systems in place for it to continue to be one of the best campuses in the state, and I feel confident that it will. Please continue to contact our staff if you have any concerns or questions as we will continue to do what is best for our children. Again, "THANK YOU" for all that you have done for our school, and I will genuinely miss the great relationships that we have formed. Sincerely, Leslie Michalik

Permission slips will be going home when we return to school in January. Signed permission slips and $5.00 will be due to science teachers by January 20th. Parents we ask that you please not use the bus lane that runs between Frost and Benold. This includes dropping your students off at Frost in the am. When they walk thru the bus lane to get to Benold they are endangering themselves and the bus drivers as well as delaying the bus take off for the next route. This lane access is specifically designated for bus use. We appreciate your assistance in protecting the safety of students on both campuses by refraining use of the access lane before, during and after school hours.
Benold Middle School has been acknowledged as one of the Top Ten schools for homebuyers in Williamson County, according to the Cruvita Blog.
